Building on 2015’s achievements

As we prepare to close over the festive break and finalise our strategies for January, 2015 was certainly a year to remember. It has flown by and I’m overjoyed with our achievements; celebrating our second year in business, appointing two new recruits in Nottingham and opening a Newcastle PR office. As we look ahead to 2016, the future certainly looks bright with exciting projects already on the horizon.
Social media customer relations has become a huge growth area for us and we envisage this becoming ever-more present a service for our current and prospective clients. Being responsive is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity, particularly as 42% of consumers expect a response on social media within one hour (according to Edison Research). Many businesses are still unsure of how to manage social enquiries and what level of responsiveness they should offer, so we look forward to helping many more companies negotiate that minefield!
Crisis communications too, is an area where we have specialist expertise. This year we’ve seen an increase in requests for the development of internal communications protocols and crisis strategies with a heavy emphasis on how to incorporate social media.
From a Tonic perspective we have exciting marketing plans afoot, so expect to hear a lot more from us over the coming year!
But for now, as we begin to wind down and our thoughts turn to mince pies and mulled wine, we want to wish you a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
