New Year, new boost for Nottingham’s creative community
Written by Georgina
So just a week into 2015 and for some of us, the New Years’ resolutions committed to with such enthusiasm a mere week ago may already have fallen by the wayside.
The Tonic team’s personal goals include eating healthier and hitting the gym more (watch this space and wish us luck…).
With our professional hats on, we’re thrilled to be working with a project reaching out to Nottingham’s budding creative entrepreneurs during 2015.
Real Creative Futures (RCF) is an initiative close to our hearts at The Tonic, ourselves established only in 2013 and part of Nottingham’s Creative Quarter.
The scheme provides free support to people with a creative passion (think music, arts, design, architecture plus many more), helping to either push their venture to the next level, or start a business from scratch.
RCF kick-starts the year with two events all about business resolutions for 2015 – helping identify what they should be, with plenty of practical tools and juicy tips to develop vital project management skills.
Bea Udeh, from Real Creative Futures explains: “It takes a certain type of business to set some real and creative goals to aim for a prosperous end to 2015. With support from our team, these events will inspire creative entrepreneurs to get that action plan rolling. Where else can you get a New Year nudge, a friendly team to support your vision – for free. And you get a free lunch!”
As The Tonic can attest, starting and growing a business brings as many challenges as rewards, so it’s important to access as much help as possible along the way. And a free feed is always a bonus!
To attend the business resolutions workshops – 15th & 29th January, 10am to 1pm at Antenna in Nottingham – you must be signed up to the Real Creative Futures programme.
