High-growth tech start-up incubator, Clicksco Labs brought The Tonic Communications on board to launch Emojicate – the world’s first emoji-only social network. Initially available on i0S and latterly, Android, the brief was to engage national, consumer and tech media to drive downloads of the app, specifically with a teen audience.

After negotiating an exclusive with the number one news portal for technology in the world, TechCrunch, The Tonic secured in-depth global coverage with titles including The Guardian, Wall Street Journal, Irish Times and USA Today.

Exceeding all client expectations within weeks the app became the second most downloaded social app in Denmark, just behind Facebook Messenger. The campaign delivered a reach of over 23 million and gave the client a significant launch pad for its product. As a direct result of this project, The Tonic was commissioned on a long term retainer basis.
