In January 2015 for a period of three months, The Tonic was brought in to handle PR for Newcastle Science City and Science Central.
In addition to helping manage a press call and commemorative stone laying around the planned visit to Science Central by Government Minister, Greg Clark MP, The Tonic also played a pivotal role in handling the ongoing tactical PR and stakeholder relations for the Science City Partnership.
The Science Central launch was very well executed with a number of high-profile business leaders in attendance and all regional media covering the story including BBC Look North, ITV Tyne Tees, Metro Radio, The Journal, Bdaily, Made in Tyne & Wear and BBC Radio Newcastle.
The Tonic’s key results for Science City supported the Venturefest North East 2015 launch, managing all partner, media and stakeholder relations, through the creation of the monthly e-bulletin and through attendance at the First Friday networking events. A number of case studies developed by The Tonic Communications, resulted in standout press coverage in the key regional media.
