We’re proud to be a fast-paced public relations agency, and due to client demand, we are looking to recruit an experienced events/PR manager to join our hardworking team in Nottingham/Newcastle.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two year’s events/PR experience and an excellent track record, particularly in delivering high profile corporate and experiential events. They will be adept at developing compelling and creative event platforms, executing sound event strategies that work across different marketing disciplines, with attention to detail that is second to none. The role holder will be required to deliver against client objectives to ensure event success, managing everything from logistics, to resource to supporting marketing, social media and PR efforts. This will involve booking locations for an intensive, rolling programme of outdoor events, gaining council approval and managing staff. You will need to liaise with relevant operational management agencies and attend all events to ensure their seamless running, interacting with stakeholders to secure and manage PR opportunities. A significant degree of travel will be involved, and a car will be provided.

We need someone who can quickly slot into the role and make it their own; a self-starter who is passionate, dedicated and results-focused.  This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with a can-do attitude who wants to make their mark. The role will be located at either our Nottingham or Newcastle PR offices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Development, production and delivery of projects from proposal right up to delivery
  • Delivering events on time, within budget, that exceed expectations
  • Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project
  • Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships
  • Managing supplier relationships
  • Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently
  • Providing leadership, motivation, direction and support to a team
  • Travelling to onsite inspections and project managing events
  • Being responsible for all project budgets from start to finish
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery
  • Developing evaluations/presentations
  • Writing and editing of events marketing materials and creative assets


Essential skills:

  • Proven project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent writing and grammar, alongside strong attention to detail
  • An ability to form professional relationships and engage with relevant stakeholders – from media to corporate partners and members of the public
  • Sound analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent understanding of current affairs, the media and social media
  • Budget management
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Creative, energetic and highly driven
  • An awareness of retail industry/optics would be desirable
